Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida is one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world, attracting millions of visitors every year. One of the biggest draws of this magical kingdom is its wide variety of resorts, each offering a unique experience that caters to different preferences. In this blog, we will explore the top, luxury Disney World resorts and the benefits of each one:
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
If you're looking for luxury and elegance, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is the perfect choice. This Victorian-style resort is located just a monorail ride away from the Magic Kingdom and offers breathtaking views of Cinderella's Castle. The resort features spacious rooms, excellent dining options, and a world-class spa, making it the ideal destination for those who want to indulge in the ultimate Disney experience. I personally love high-tea at the Grand Floridian and make a point to stop by every Christmas season to see the famous ginger bread houses.
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
Another monorail resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, is inspired by the South Pacific and offers a tropical paradise within the heart of Walt Disney World. With its lush gardens, white-sand beach, and stunning views of the fireworks over Cinderella's Castle, this resort provides a relaxing and exotic escape. Guests can enjoy the resort's delicious dining options, explore the nearby Volcano Pool, and participate in a variety of cultural activities. My family over years made many special memories at the Polynesian’s Hawaiian dinner and show. I will never forget my grandfather getting pulled up on stage to hula dance!

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
For an unforgettable experience, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is the perfect resort. This African-inspired lodge offers guests the opportunity to view exotic animals roaming the savanna from their balconies or from one of the many observation areas located throughout the resort. Most recently before I moved to Austin, my mother and I rented a suite to spend the weekend on property. Having a glass of wine on the balcony while watching giraffes is 100% worth it! The lodge also offers a variety of dining options, including Jiko - The Cooking Place, which offers African-inspired cuisine, and Boma - Flavors of Africa, which serves a delicious breakfast buffet. My family shared Christmas dinner one year at Jiko!
Disney's Contemporary Resort
Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of the most iconic resorts in Disney World, featuring a modern design that has remained timeless since its opening in 1971. Located just steps away from the Magic Kingdom, this resort offers stunning views of Cinderella's Castle and the nightly fireworks show. I would say location is the best benefit to the Contemporary resort as I find it to be a tad outdated and rather loud depending on your room. Guests can also enjoy the resort's unique dining experiences, such as California Grill, located on the 15th floor of the resort, which offers spectacular views of the park and one of the best places to watch fireworks! Fourth of July fireworks here was unforgettable.

Disney's Beach Club Resort
Disney's Beach Club Resort is perfect for those who love the sun, sand, and sea. This New England-style resort is located near Epcot and features a three-acre pool with a sand-bottom pool, lazy river, and a variety of water slides. The resort also offers a variety of dining options, including Cape May Cafe, which serves a delicious seafood buffet. Out of the luxury resorts, this is my family’s favorite. We love the layout, feel of the rooms, and the convenience to walk right into Epcot.
Walt Disney World's resorts offer a variety of experiences to suit every taste and budget. Whether you're looking for luxury, relaxation, exotic escapes, iconic architecture, or family-friendly fun, there is a Disney resort for everyone. So, start planning your dream vacation and experience the magic of Disney World's top resorts for yourself!
